Christmas Is Here! | Seattle Family Photographer

Yesterday I had the pleasure of doing a photo session with Adriana and Nick, two cute little kiddos that I photographed about a year ago. I LOVE repeat clients! It’s so fun to watch them change year after year.

Adriana is just the sweetest little spirit. Such a joy to photograph. Her smile just brightens up the whole room. AND she’s very good at her ABCs and she’s only 3 years old!

Little Nick is on the move! He has the biggest blue eyes I’ve ever seen. One look from him and you just melt. He especially liked the series of shots we did with the gingerbread house! He was quick to learn that they taste good!

Here’s a sneak peek at our indoor Christmas session.

Fabulous Fall!

Wet, soggy, foggy…sounds like a typical northwest fall day. It was and it was PERFECT day for family photos! Today a repeat client came out to my favorite new park to take their annual family photos. It was so fun to see the boys again. They have tons of energy and we had fun romping through the bushes, playing chase in the grassy fields, stomping in puddles and oh yeah, taking a few pictures too!

30 Years Later

My friend Erin, who I’ve known since I was 9, called me the other day to say she was in town. We made plans to meet and I of course brought my camera along. It was so fun catching up with not only her, but her whole family. Here are some pictures from an impromptu photoshoot.

Little Vivian

Once again, I am honored to be able to photograph one of my PEPS friend’s newborn, Vivian. She took a little while to get asleep, but once there, she slept like a champ making my job so easy!

Wedding Charity Giveaway Contest!

Have you noticed lately that there has been a string of disasters lately? Tsunami, earthquakes, fires, tornado…As I sit from the comfort of my couch I often wonder how I can help.

Has your life been touched by a disease or illness? Cancer, alzheimers, cystic fibrosis? Do you know someone suffering? I know many. Again, I wonder what I have to give.

Several years ago I was involved with the Team In Training program. I ran 3 marathons and each time raised over $3000 for the Leukemia Society. Running marathons for charity seem like a distant dream these days. I’ve been wondering what I can do now, at this stage of life, to help others in need.

And then I had an idea. Why not turn my passion into a vehicle to help others. So…I’ve decided to run donate my fee for a wedding to the charity of your choice. Here’s how it will work.

*Send me an email explaining what charity you would chose to have your money be donated to and why.

*Share this link on either Facebook, Twitter or your blog. Leave a comment below stating where you shared this.

I will read each entry and chose a winner. You will have 3 wedding packages to choose from:

collection lll – $1500 6 hours of wedding day photography

You will chose a charity that you would like 100% of the collection price to go to. Upon acceptance of the photos of your wedding, a donation will be made in your name to that charity.

That’s it! Deadline for entries is Friday May 13th.

Match Made In Seattle | Seattle Wedding Photographer

She sent an email. He responded. They walked the campus of the University of Washington. They made small – talk like you do on every date, but this was something different. They laughed, they told stories…and they made plans to see each other again. Two years and 3000 miles later, Shannon and Chris returned to Seattle, where it all began, to get married.

Both Shannon and Chris live in Florida now but chose to come back to their old stomping ground to say their vows in front of good friends and family in a small “front yard” wedding. That’s right, front yard. The ceremony was held in West Seattle in the front yard of their dear friend’s house. It was a lovely day. Not only was the front yard beautiful, like an English garden, but Chris and Shannon must have brought the sunshine with them too that day. All the way from Florida. In the coldest April on record here in Seattle, their wedding day was blessed with sunny skies and 70 degree weather! No one could believe it. I truly believe it was because of them.

She’s quiet yet confident. He’s a gentleman’s gentleman. Together? They are perfect. I so enjoyed my day with you Shannon and Chris! Here’s your sneak peek!

Look at these gorgeous shoes!

8 Month Old Heartbreaker | Seattle Baby Photographer

This was my second time photographing little JT as I like to call him. The first was his newborn session. My how he has grown. This little guy had so much personality yet just completely rolled with the punches through all the setting and wardrobe changes. Seriously. He was a DREAM to photograph. He reminded me of why I love to photograph babies so much. I had a hard time choosing my favorites; there were SO many! Here’s a sneak peak!

Here he is as a wee newborn. :)

Beautiful Mama | Kirkland Maternity Photographer

Beautiful, exotic, stunning. All words to describe this lovely mama of TWINS!

An Old Friend

Today I had the pleasure of taking my good friend, Colleen’s family photos. I first met Colleen about 7 years ago while running marathons for Team in Training. Her kids are almost the same age as mine, so it was really fun to photograph them.

Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL family!!

My New Favorite Location | Seattle Baby Photographer

I found a new favorite location for photo sessions. I absolutely love the variety found at Beaver Lake Park in Sammamish. I took Logan there today to take his 9 month photos. He is such a good little model. He loves standing now so I had a hard time getting him to do anything else!
